Today is one of the most emotional days for me in a long time! I received my Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt from my master, Clovis Silva. He is a 6th-degree black belt under Carlson Gracie.
I have been practicing martial arts for over 40 years. When I started learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu over a decade ago, I looked for the best master to train with, and finally settled down under Clovis’s wing.
He took my ground game to a whole new level. I can't say enough to let him know how much I appreciate him and his guidance.
He always says “The higher belt you get, the more responsibility you have.” Now, I am a black belt and I know my mission is to make him proud!
